Everyone wanted a Beyond Meat hamburger. We tend to do them in the air fryer since it helps remove the fat. Added Daiya cheese to mine, and lettuce. Tasty dinner.
Barbecue tofu burritos. We needed to use the leftover tofu. Added peppers, carrots, lettuce, and Daiya cheese. Perfect dinner to finish what was in the refrigerator.

Happy Thanksgiving, ya’ll. I hope you’re having a wonderful celebration, if you’ve gathered together. For the vegans of the family (me and others) we had Gardein turkey with the cherry cake I baked last night at 11. The meat eaters had turkey, green beans, and stuffing/dressing.
The grey clouds return in upstate Western New York. Yesterday was a rare day where the sun surprised us with it. Grins.
I’ve been trying to stop eating the processed vegan substitutes. Tonight was a barbecue tofu burger. I enjoyed it, but I’m not surprised since we eat tofu often.
It’s sunny, but cold in upstate Western New York. I’m struggling since I’m working through my grief after learning Sadie (our Russian tortoise) passed on.
We’ve had Sadie for eleven years. She stopped eating about a week ago. She passed away within the last day or two. I touched her this morning and she wasn’t moving. We buried her in one of the gardens in the backyard. It’s been a horrible day.
I realize this is a topic I might not want to take photographs for, but my area of the country has been dealing with shortages for months. Grocery stores, restaurants, etc, have struggled with them. I’ve lost track of how often I’ve been told a restaurant doesn’t have something while I’m doing deliveries after dinner. I decided it was time to document what I’ve seen while shopping. It takes me two hours to shop, and I have to visit two or three stores to do it. I plan to update the shortages once a week while at the grocery store. No, this isn’t because of the holiday. This is normal for my area.
